have a gorgeous weekend!

Lovelies, do you have any plans for the weekend? Ryan and I recently bought a car but here's the kicker: it's a stick and I don't know how to drive it. {Yikes!} So this weekend, I will need to really sit down by myself with the car and really try to figure it out. And once I defeat what seems to be impossible right now, I will:

1. Celebrate with some lovely wine and cheese at home.

2. Enjoy the beautiful weather.

3. And come up with a delicious breakfast for Sunday!

Have a gorgeous weekend!
xoxo,
TFH.

  • Ohhh, very good! I want my new car to be a stick, but the problem is that I was only taught once how to drive one. 6 years ago. And I haven't tried again, since. I did really well though, I do remember that :) It's actually really easy, and a very fluid process once you get the hang of it. You'll probably never want to drive an automatic ever again!

Oh man, I am hopeless with stick! Good luck, I'm sure it will go well. I've had a crazy week so I'm taking it easy and trying a new recipe for focaccia. Mmmm.

My dad was really awesome and surprised me one afternoon with my very first vehicle...my little white GMC Sonoma (it was about 6+ years ago during the time that all the great rebates were going on). Anyways, it has a manual transmission. He started me out in a level parking lot. I swear I killed the engine at least 50 times before I pulled out an inch...and then killed it again.

Let me tell you though, it's not all that hard. Once you learn where the clutch lets out, and how to get in first, it's smooth sailing from there. Clutch before you brake.

That should do for now. Haha! Let us know how you do! Good luck! :-D

you can do it! the key is to notice where the clutch catches, and don't be afraid to waste a bit of gas in the beginning by revving to keep from stalling... get the boy to help! only if he's patient though :) have fun! and enjoy the wine & cheese yay!
