Who says only girls should have all the fun when it comes to their shoes? These Red Wing Boots would make a man. Hot.
Happy Monday! Did you have a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend? I did and am still feasting on our left-overs. {Yum!} Now that Thanksgiving has passed and December is right around the corner, you know what that means--we are in full-fledged holiday mode now. Yet, it is still in the 70s here in Florida! Once the weather dips to "normal" winter temperatures, I would quite like to sport these: the cutest. boots. ever!
Hello my dears! How was your Thanksgiving? Are you just as stuffed as I am? As you know, today is Black Friday. Oh, boy. This means that my shopping ban is officially lifted! What are your plans for the weekend? Are you going to take advantage of all the sales that are about to start?
{I hope I can restrain myself!}
Have a fantastic Friday and weekend!
Dearest Husband of Mine,
This Thanksgiving, I just want to say "thank you" for loving me and for promising to do so forever and ever.
You are the best. (Even when your jokes and/or movie tastes sometimes aren't!) But I do love you just the same.
xoxo,
Your Wife.
P.S. I hope our hands one day look like the one in the photo above!
Totally random and totally unrelated to Thanksgiving. But seriously. Look at it!
Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you all so much for reading and following and commenting and caring about my blog and my thoughts. You are all so endearing and wonderful and the personal notes that you leave for me make my heart swell with delight and joy. I couldn't do this without any of you and for that I am eternally thankful. Much love from my heart to yours.
xoxo,
TFH.
What are you thankful for this year?
P.S. Ryan--There's a 7:30 showing. What do you think?

What is it with them and their constant cool?

Do you remember the Reebok Pump? Well, it's shocking to believe that it is now 20 years old. And to commemorate the occasion, Reebok collaborated with designers from around the globe creating different styles of the celebrated sneaker. So cool.
Happy Monday! Well, as promised, I'm baaaaack! After a whirlwind event consisting of one part grand opening party and one part wedding of my mother, I am finally able to get myself into gear again. Apologies for my lack of posting, but I hope this lovely shoe from Viktor & Rolf's S/S 2010 collection makes up for it!
Happy Friday to all! What are your plans for the weekend? It's been a super busy week for me, hence the lack of posting. And it's all leading up to this Sunday, when my mom will (re)tie the knot. {Eep!} I will return, soon, though. And I promise, it will be better than ever.
Have a glamourous weekend!
xoxo,
TFH.
More deer! How beautiful are these creatures!
After going to see the killer Melt-Banana last night, Ryan and I rode home on our bikes and it was a little chilly. I, unfortunately, did not have a jacket to keep me warm and so I am now feeling really kind of gross. That being said, I am taking a break from the blog for the next couple of days to recuperate and regroup and take in lots of vitamin C and rest. I'll see you all soon!
xoxo,
TFH.
What are you lovely readers up to this weekend? I've been feeling a little under the weather so tonight after work, I think I will entertain this Friday the 13th with a movie (Rosemary's Baby, perhaps?) and a glass of wine. And for the rest of the weekend, I've only got one thing on the brain: RELAAAAAAAX!
Have a wonderful weekend!
xoxo,
TFH.
Oooh! I love that today is Friday the 13th. Although a superstitious day, I credit the number 13 to good luck, especially in my life. Ryan's and my first date was on the 13th of April, after all. And we ended up getting married on Friday the 13th, too! How do you feel about today? Are you generally a superstitious person?
It's a real bear AND a teddy bear!!! My heart just melted a little bit.
Dear friends, I have a confession to make: I did not fulfill my Surprise Sunday Breakfast this past Sunday (the 8th) because of a number of reasons, the main one being that I now work on Sundays and it is nearly impossible for me to get it all done in time. I know, I know, inexcusable! But I do hope you forgive me after today. As I mentioned, I now have Wednesdays and Thursdays off. Which means that today is sort of like my Sunday. And since I skipped out on the husband last Sunday, I am making him some lovely lemon ricotta pancakes this morning, instead!
INGREDIENTS
- 4 large eggs, separated
- 1 1/3 cups ricotta
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons freshly grated lemon zest
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- Melted butter for brushing the griddle
DIRECTIONS
1. In a bowl whisk together the egg yolks, the ricotta, the sugar, and the zest, add the flour, and stir the mixture until it is just combined.
2. In a bowl with an electric mixer beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until they hold stiff peaks, whisk about one fourth of them into the ricotta mixture, and fold in the remaining whites gently but thoroughly.
3. Heat a griddle over moderately high heat until it is hot enough to make drops of water scatter over its surface and brush it with some of the melted butter.
4. Working in batches, pour the batter onto the griddle by 1/4-cup measures and cook the pancakes for 1 to 2 minutes on each side, or until they are golden, brushing the griddle with some of the melted butter as necessary.
5. Transfer the pancakes as they are cooked to a heatproof platter and keep them warm in a preheated 200°F oven.
What do you think? Will he forgive?

Everyone knows that a girl can never have too many little black dresses. But currently, I'm feeling that a girl can never have too many little navy dresses. They are impeccably chic no matter what the occasion, wouldn't you say?
Good morning, dear readers! Happy Hump Day to you! Since starting the new job, my work week has changed quite dramatically. Instead of working from 9 - 5 Monday through Friday, I now work evenings from Friday through Tuesday and my weekends are Wednesday and Thursday now. That being said, today is my weekend! I hope you are having a gorgeous day!
...jumps over a lazy dog. In HELVETICA. Oh, dear me. I would quite like this very much.
I
t's been a while since I've done a Swedish post so here it is today! Swedish photographer Carl Kleiner captured some pretty awesome styling, if I do say so myself.
