She slept through the whole flight!
The cousins meet for the first time.
This past weekend, Ryan and I took a much-needed long-awaited mini-vacation (Anaïs' first airplane trip!) up to visit my sister Beverly and her family in Boston. It was divine. I had planned it to be on Mother's Day weekend because it would be my very first one, it would be the first time Olivia and Anaïs would meet, and what better way to spend it than with my sister? Just as I had anticipated, the weekend proved to be fantastic. There was a lot of downtime, laughter, and of course, food. Lots. And Lots. Of food.
Date night oysters and prosecco!
Date night dessert.
Not only was it so wonderful to see Beverly, Adam, and Olivia, Ryan and I were so lucky to have a date night in the North End, as Beverly and Adam had so graciously offered to babysit for us! When we got home, it was Beverly and Adam's turn for their own date night. It was so great to be able to just do a switch off.
The feast the boys cooked up.
A beautiful hand-made card from Ryan.
A Mother's Day moment.
I only wish that we all lived closer or that we could visit one another more often. Hopefully, the Cotes will be coming down to visit us in the not-so-distant future. I miss them so much already.
